People learning AAC need to see/hear competent models of their AAC system frequently.
Be the role model. We all have to ‘speak AAC’ by using Tom's communication tools or a reasonable facsimile.

Talk out loud when looking for a word. Make mistakes. Model how to correct them.

The more WE use the communication boards, books, apps etc, the more the learner will, too.
